PLEASE JOIN OUR 2022 FRIENDS OF THE POOR WALK
Tuesday, September 27th
St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church
Many of our neighbors continue to struggle to make ends meet. Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Holy Trinity Conference in Charlottesville are doing what they can to help our neighbors in need. Your donations are used locally to provide emergency, utility, and rental assistance to prevent eviction and to help restore utilities or prevent cut-off (disconnection). Our Friends of the Poor Walk is our primary fundraising effort to support our mission/ministry.
On Tuesday, September 27th we will walk together in unity, solidarity, and hope in love for Christ Jesus in our neighbor. Registration will begin at 4 pm and the Walk at 6 pm after the 5:15 pm Mass celebrating the Feast of St. Vincent de Paul in the church. We will walk from St. Thomas Aquinas University Parish to UVA’s Scott Stadium and return. You are welcome to stay for our gathering and sharing of refreshments and fellowship after the Walk. Bring your family and friends! We look forward to walking with you.
Our Vincentian work would not be possible without the donation of time by our volunteers and the generosity of walkers and sponsors. Please use the link below to register to walk and donate on our FOP Walk website. Thank you for walking with us and helping us help others.
