Society of St. Vincent de paul
St. Vincent de Paul (1581-1660) founded the Congregation of the Mission, Confraternities of Charity, Daughters of Charity and Ladies of Charity. He is known as the "The Apostle of Charity" and "Father of the Poor".
To assist the poor in Paris, in 1833 Blessed Frederic Ozanam (1813-1853) founded the "Conference of Charity", which was changed to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in honor of their patron.
SVdP was started in the USA in 1845. In 2017, SVdP USA consists of ~100,000 members and provided >$3.4B in services to >5.4M people.

Members of the SVdP Holy Trinity Conference are parishioners St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Holy Comforter Church, Church of the Incarnation and Our Lady of the Rosary mission church in Crozet who are working to grow spiritually through service to friends in need in our community.
